A cowboy sits on horseback in the middle of a dirt path. Still. Silent. Hat low, shoulders heavy like he is carrying more than just his own weight. The hills stretch behind him, soaked in memory. The kind of quiet that knows loss.
My heart goes out to everyone in the Texas Hill Country.
For the families forever changed.
For the children who never made it home.
As fathers, mothers, as family, as friends. Sometimes someone in the circle has to be the strong one, the one who holds steady when the rest are barely standing. But you’re not alone.
That cowboy is not just one man.
He is every one of us who has ever had to carry the hurt and keep going anyway.
But this is Texas. We do not walk alone. We show up. We hold on. We ride for each other.
Esperanza fluye entre estas colinas” — it means “hope runs through these hills”
And it always will.
