Out where the coyotes roam wild - in between the cholla and ocotillo - there lies a blood gulch canyon. A lone hiker makes his way up the dry wash and settles in for the night. As the sun sets, he pitches his A-frame and gathers a pile of tinder for his tamales. They roast over a tiny scrub fire while the hiker hums a little Ryan Bingham on his harmonica. The embers fade to a flicker and a chorus of coyotes drowns out campfire tunes. A Mescalero Moon is overhead, and desert is ready to greet it.
